2. Jazz – This particular music style isn't really for beginners, but many people use them as their first stepping stone into a musician's life. This kind of music has a somewhat cool feeling when you listen to it. It's mostly listened to when people just want to kick back and relax. The music style is usually associated with the bass guitar and saxophone.

3. Rock – Ever wondered what kind of music style people listened to during the1950's? Well, rock was that certain music style and it was very popular. Many beginners usually trace back to these times for reasons such as growing up around people who listened to rock.

Although rock may just sound like people banging on the drums and wildly strumming their guitars, the beats these produce is very catchy. Also, the types of notes rock produces aren't that complicated and are easy to learn, which makes it an ideal starting point for musicians who want to be rock stars.

4. Ballad – This type of music style is usually for the hopeless romantic type of people or some guy who just wants to impress a girl. Either way, this type of music style is one of the most common beginners start with because of the wide number or songs they can choose from.

Not only does this type of music have a lot of songs to choose from, but the way this is played is relatively easier than any other music type. With this music type, you can start out with basically any kind of instrument and improve with no problem.

5. Lounge – Ever wondered what kind of music type your listening to when you're having a cup of coffee at your favorite coffee shop? Well that would be lounge music. This kind of music is usually produced by guitars, maracas and a beat box. This kind of music usually carries a beach like feel to it and makes people just want to chill out and relax. It may not be that easy to master, but it's a very good challenge for aspiring musicians.
