Accented with tortoise binding, the lacewood back and sides are attached to a spruce top for a resonant combination that's as appealing as it is toneful.The patented double-cutaway design of this Wechter guitar allows a very electric-guitar-like 19 frets of access in addition to a rock-solid neck joint. The convex headblock construction with integrated soundhole bracing is stronger than any traditional headblock design and is more reliable and visually striking. A thin finish allows for more pure acoustic tone while the slim, fast neck and low action make the Pathmaker guitar easy to play.Final set up and electronics installation is done in the Wechter shop in Paw Paw, Michigan, including premium coated strings, action adjustment, trussrod adjustment, setting the bone nut and saddle, filing the frets, buffing the finish if necessary, cleaning the fingerboard and bridge, polishing and carefully repacking every guitar, every time, so that we know you are getting a guitar that will play the best right out of the box.
