The Hammerax Indigo Ultra Dark Crash Cymbal is a hand-hammered bronze cymbal featuring 5 microcup "buttons," a large cup, and a hand-hammered logo. The shape, in combination with special hammering methods and a patent-pending alloy, makes it thin and light. The Ultra Dark Crash Cymbal produces a dark, integrated sound which is very complex, but not bell-like. It plays well with sticks, mallets, and hand crashing. Drummers can ride the bell and rake the buttons, but the Indigo cymbal swells quite easily so it is not a true ride. It offers a wide volume range, from quiet to extremely loud, with a fairly fast fade. Like most Hammerax cymbals it comes with 3 polished holes for removable sizzles.
