Each coil on the L500R is carefully wound to precise specifications to guarantee consistent sound quality. All L500R pickups are treated with high temperature resistant wax and potted to the top of the Bobbins to reduce microphonic squealing. This procedure developed by Jzchak Wajcman gave the L500R its cutting edge and made it one of the most popular pickups in the world. Each Bill Lawrence pickup must pass a quality control check.
